• The Honda® Pioneer™ 1000 Series is powered by a purpose-built, inline, twin-cylinder, 8-valve Unicam 999 cc engine designed to produce balanced power output for recreation and utility applications.

• The Pioneer™ 1000’s liquid-cooled engine is mounted longitudinally in the frame, allowing direct driveshaft alignment to front and rear drive units for improved power output at the wheels.

• Engine and exhaust system are rubber-mounted, minimizing vibration and noise transmitted to the frame and body, allowing for quiet, comfortable operation.

• PGM-FI ensures crisp performance and trouble-free operation in cold conditions and changing altitudes.

• Six-speed Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT) with both automatic and manual modes, the first and only such transmission available on a Side-by-Side

• In DCT Manual mode, shifting is accomplished via steering wheel paddle-shifters

• In DCT Automatic mode, drivers can choose between Standard or Sport modes as desired.

• Low range sub-transmission can be used as conditions dictate.

• Four drive modes available including Turf Mode, 2WD, 4WD, and 4WD Differential Lock.

• Electric Power Steering ensures light-effort steering even at low speeds, when loaded, or on rough roads. Separate mapping for 2WD and 4WD provides improved control.

• Top of class ground clearance and long-travel suspension (268 mm front; 254 mm rear) tuned for comfort and performance

• Impressive utility capacity enhanced by 454 kg (1,000 lbs) cargo capacity and 908 kg (2,000 lbs) towing capacity.

• Comfortable three-person seating configuration thanks to a wider offset bench and wider Roll Over Protection Structure (ROPS) than competitive units.

• Safety features include standard high-sill doors with automotive-style double latch, protective door nets, and automotive-type 3-point Emergency Locking Retractor (ELR) seat belts.
